01 — Our Story
From one van to a full team
Corran Construction was founded in 2005 by Thomas Carr, a bricklayer with twenty years of experience working for some of Northern Ireland's largest contractors. Thomas set out with a simple mission: to give homeowners and businesses the same quality he saw on major commercial sites, but with a personal, responsive service that bigger firms couldn't offer.
Starting with residential extensions and small renovations, Carr Construction quickly built a reputation for reliable workmanship and straight talking. Word spread — and within five years, the company had grown into a full-service building contractor covering new builds, commercial fit-outs, and groundworks.
Today, we're a team of over 50 — including carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, electricians, plasterers, and project managers — all employed directly by Corran Construction. That means consistent quality across every trade, and a single point of contact for you throughout your project.
Our milestones
Corran Construction is founded by Thomas Carr in Newtownabbey.
Expand into commercial construction, completing first office fit-out in Belfast.
Team grows to 20+ tradespeople; new groundworks division established.
